Mr Charles Riverview Lodge is pleasantly located on the Douthawady River between two Shan villages; the “Naug Gad” village and the “Kun Jong” village. Both of these villages are just a couple minutes walk away offering our guests the opportunity to see and experience the “day to day” of traditional Shan villages throughout the day as well as observe their seasonal customs throughout different times of the year.

Our setting has proven to be unrivaled as our guests enjoy the view of the rolling forested mountains and rice paddy fields on one side and the beautiful river on the other. A pleasant afternoon can be taken advantage of with a walk on our river front trail under our beautiful tree canopy. The soothing sound of cicadas at night will ensure your stay completely relaxing.

If however our guests want to enjoy downtown Hsipaw it is only a 10 minute drive away. Our friendly staff will be happy to organize complementary transportation on your request. Bike rentals are also available turning the trip into a roughly 20 minute picturesque venture.
